Pigs & Bubbles - what?

"Can I play with BUBBLES?"

That's a discussion Madison and I had several times to day and finally the answer was YES!

Uncle Scott and Aunt Jennifer got Madison a PIG bubble blower for graduation and she and Noah were pretty excited to try it out.

I though you might enjoy seeing a couple pictures of the BUBBLE celebration!

That pig works pretty good and can we say HOORAY for no spills and no blowing?

THANKS Scott & Jen!

Splish, Splash, Fun

Enjoying some pool time fun!

Madison received a new swimming pool for graduation and the kids could not wait to try it out. So, thanks to Grandmom and Papaw they got to swim for the first time at our house.

Madison tried out the slide, but Noah was not interested in getting too wet. He stayed pool side for some fishing and occasionally flipped his leg over to stick one foot in the water.

At the end of the day and after all the splashing they really enjoyed playing together.

Happy splashes to you too!

Pomp and Circumstance

You're invited to view Madison's Pre-School graduation celebration with us.
Madison entered Kiddie Prep at age 2 and we have just completed Kindergarten Round-up.
That's right she will turn 5 on July 15 and will head to "Big Girl" school in the fall. We are seizing the day and sharing her achievement with you.
Kiddie Prep rewards each graduate with a diploma and bible.

Madison was able to share this special event with family.

The Wonderful World of Disney

We are just returning from a lovely trip to Walt Disney World with Papaw and Grandmom Avery. This was the first time for Madison and Noah and boy, did they have fun. I thought you would enjoy a few pictures from our adventure. Paul took over 600 pictures during our trip, but lucky for you I am sparing you the time of that sort.

We stayed at the All Star Sports Resort and all of you with little ones - this was well worth it. We could come and go and not have to worry about our transportation. The resorts come in all different shapes, styles, and prices. Ours was definitely family oriented, but there are others to try on according to your comforts.

Highlights from our trip: Madison met her favorites: Piglet and Sleeping Beauty.

She even tried out being Princess for the day.

Also, Noah experienced swimming for the first time. Well, swimming wasn't really his thing but putting his feet in the water was something he truly enjoyed.

Paul enjoyed seeing a couple of tigers playing (with claws) at the Animal Kingdom. Their meows were thunderous!

And, Kristi enjoyed the Animal Kingdom lodge - it made you feel like you were at Jurassic Park with all its grandeur. We enjoyed an authentic African meal and it was really something! You have to be brave and wonder out of your comfort zone, but really it was quite yummy. I would recommend it to others.

Grandmom & Papaw Easter Bunny

The Avery's pre-Easter Celebration...

Uncle Scott and Aunt Jennifer get Madison a chocolate pig. She ate the feet first because they were pink.

Grandmom and Papaw got Madison a Fur-Real pig. It was on her must-have list. She squeeled with joy when she opened it.

Noah tries out Grandmom's shoes. He knows how to walk in heels - should we be worried?

Noah's future is sooo bright he's just gotta wear shades!

It was a Happy Easter for Madison! And we hope it is one for you too!

Babysitting Fun!

Our family had the opportunity to watch little Makayla a little while back and I thought you might enjoy some of our photos from our time together.

Noah is especially fond of Makayla. He just likes to point and squeel at her. She does not pay him much attention, but as she gets older she is either going to love him or hate him. He even was brave enough to share his beloved blanket with her however, he watched carefully and the minute she began to move her arm or hand he would jerk it away from her so that she couldn't touch it. Kids are funny!

Birthday Bash

Well, I'm another year older - some would argue wiser if I dare say it. : ) So this it - my last year to be in my twenties. I have two kids, been married for nearly eight years, and well, I guess I should submit to adulthood, huh?

I just wanted to share with you a few pictures from our family celebration. It really was a great birthday this year. My family made me feel extra special and I am truly appreciative. Enjoy the pictures! ~Kristi

IT'S A GIRL!

We rejoice today as God has blessed us with a new family member. My brother, Scott and his wife, Jennifer brought little Makayla Joy into the world early this morning. Momma and baby are doing fine. They will be doing great after a little bit of sleep. Makayla weighs in at 7 pounds 2 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. As you can see there is plenty of hair on her head too! We are giving three cheers as we celebrate being an aunt, uncle and cousins! You can view their BLOG here.

Blizzard 2007

Last week Indiana got hit with blizzard like conditions. We thought you all might enjoy a few pictures of our neighborhood.

There were snow drifts over 3 foot tall just in our driveway alone.
Paul spent 3 hours one day shoveling the driveway just to turn around the next day to the same amount again.

We decided after this winter we will need to invest in a handy dandy snow blower.

Even IWU shut down for two days and we don't think that has happened since 1992.

Here was our view from the window of our world for a couple of days!

Sending you winter wishes!
