Christmas 2006

Christmas Time with the Lewis Family

Christmas can being tiring...just ask Noah who is sneaking a quick rest in between present openings.

Noah enjoys some fun time with one of his favorite pals, Papaw.

This is my Grandma and Grandpa Lewis. And because these two fell in love - the Lord blessed them with six children.

These are their six children. Born girl, boy, girl, boy, girl, boy. My mother is the one in red. She was born the middle girl. All of these children fell in love and look what happened...

The family grew, and grew, and grew...

Today my grandparents enjoy eleven great-grandchildren with one more on the way.

Mommy and Madison steal a playful moment during the holiday hooplah.

Noah enjoys opening a driving toy. It became the hit of the event with all the cousins wanting to take a turn at it.

Madison gets her guitar with a micorphone and amp. Yes, we are enjoying the sounds of our very own Rock Star.

CHRISTMAS @ Our House

Everyone say hello to Chef Madison. She can whip up a mean PB&J.

Noah enjoys standing on his new jungle gym, I mean couch.

Madison has declared flamingos and pigs as her favorite animals this year because - they are PINK!!!

Noah slept in on Christmas morning so Madison enjoys her beads before brother gets into them.

Noah enjoys his first sleeping bag!

A smile from Paul as he receives a coffe mug for the office.

Gifts are great but the reason for the season is greater!

Blessings to you!

Christmas with the Crisps

Christmas is truly the season where children shine. We thought you might enjoy a few moments where you can see the "shine" in our children.

Madison helps Grandma Crisp pass out the presents.
As you can see from her face she has discovered her first gift in the pile.

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa Crisp and Uncle Phil for a great Christmas!

Opening new toys is always the best - they like sharing their toys too.

Noah is just discovery that tearing the paper
leads to something fun underneath.

Big sister likes to help her brother.

We wish you a MERRY CHRISTMAS too!

Holiday Hoopla!

Finally, a few more items have been crossed off the Christmas To Do list. Our Christmas cards are in the mail. Hooray! This year you will enjoy a little Christmas cheer from our elves. You would not know it by the picture but this was nearly the picture that never was. Noah truly had no desire to be a part of this event. We were literally placing, holding and diving and snapping all at once. The picture turned out great considering. So here's to wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

Be Merry & Bright!

We have lift off!

Just have a minute to tell you two very important things. Noah has finally taken some steps by himself we are up to 5 without falling over! Congrats to Noah for taking his steps into toddlerhood.

Also we have two toothers peeking through his gums. You can see those pearly whites now even though they have not come all the way down to their final resting place.

Madison had some pictures taken this weekend so I expect to post some updates soon.

I trust you are all doing well.

Be blessed!

Another page in the baby book

Noah (Pre-Haircut at Grandpa & Grandma Crisp's house)

Noah got to experience the milestone to mark his toddlerhood yesterday.

Secured in his high-chair, he gets ready to have his hair cut.

That's right - his first hair cut. His curly locks are gone and the haircuts have begun. You can see from the pictures it was not the most pleasant thing he has ever experienced, however the sucker mommy let him have after was well worth it so say the slobbers.

Madison even got in on the fun. Some of these pictures were taken by her. She talked to me about Noah this morning. She said, "Momma, I don't think Noah really liked getting his haircut too much. He just cried and cried." Madison is not a big fan of hair care either so I said to her that she usually cries to and she said, "Well, that's true."

So, here's to another page in the baby book!

The hair cutting begins.

For safety we switch to the clippers since Noah wrestled so much.

Finished version of the haircut.

The sucker helped him forget all about the bad haircut.

Our photographer finally put the camera down so that we could take a picture of our her. (she is doing one of her patented poses)

Status report on the front teeth: Noah is still working on them. You can feel them if he will let you touch, but they are not poking all the way through yet.

Noah's 1st Birthday

Here are some pictures from Noah's 1st Birthday Party. Better late than never.

His birthday was actually on Friday September 22 but thanks to rain we pushed the party back to Sunday the 24th.

Lots of toys and clothes to add to our collection.

Madison, Julieanne and Brady showing off their gifts.

Noah test drives his "Mater" Tow Truck from the movie "Cars".

Madison takes a whack at the PiƱata! That thing wouldn't break for anything.

Noah takes a break after finishing off his cake and ice cream.

What a difference a weekend can make.

Friday:We had Noah's annual check in at Riley. We were expecting a surgery plan of action during this visit and actually received the news that our little guy has adapted so well to life with a pinky and a thumb that the plan is to now wait another year until the tendons are larger so that we can better have picture of whether or not we can get his pinky bending.

Saturday: Noah runs a fever and has a runny nose. I am pretty sure this is the result of cutting teeth. The grumpiness is just a given here but the good news is that he will surely have his two front teeth for Christmas this year.

By Monday Noah is blessed with a rash on his hands, arms, legs, and the ever popular diaper area. The question of the hour was, "Do you think he has chickenpoxs?" Actually, no. The doctor takes one look and says this is a beautiful case of Hand, Foot, Mouth disease. Takes 5-7 days to get over it but the worse thing is that his mouth is filled with sores. You know how it feels to have one? He has a good half dozen. Yuck!

Hoping to see a little bit of normal soon!
