Camping 101

Here are some pictures from our first camping outing for the summer.

It rained quite a bit while were camping so one day we made a trip into town and Madison picked out a new t-shirt.

Noah knows how to camp! Relaxing or taking up room so he doesn't have to share with sister? He wouldn't do that now would he?

He has dirty feet from playing in the mud puddles!

Madison spends some time with PaPaw Avery.

Makayla and Uncle Scott come to visit.
Notice Noah is peeking in to say hi to Makayla.

Noah has stolen Madison's flip flop and he is looking to Uncle Scott for protection.

Makayla is spending some time with Grandmom Avery.
Makayla is starring at the fire!

Big Transition

BIG BOY BED

Noah is making a big life transition these days.

We have moved out the crib and have begun using the toddler bed.
Yes, it has come with its own set of ups and downs as he first thought
this meant freedom instead of sleep.

This is a picture of how we found him the morning after his first night
in his new BIG BOY bed. Looks like he is getting enough rest.

Do you think he has had enough beauty rest?

Boy that hair is a masterpiece!

Just Another Day at the Spa!

SPECIAL SPA TREATMENT
There are not many times in life that I find myself so amused in thought that nothing comes out of my mouth. But after dinner earlier this week I found myself in that very predicament.
So, here are my thoughts: Do you like yogurt? Do you love the thought of exotic bath treatments at the spa? and Oh boy!
How do those things all fit together?
Well, take a peek at what I was starring at:

It's just another day at the Crisp Spa a la Noah!
A banana yogurt scrub before bath time.
Sound yummy or like a good exfoliant?

You be the judge!

Happy Frogger's Day

Happy Frogger's Day!?!

We were just about ready to close the books on Father's Day when Paul ran into the house and said come quick you have to see this. The kids are in bed and he had been out watering the flowers after dark. He said I saw a bump in the yard and wondered what it was. When he flipped on the flash light much to our dismay we had a visitor of great proportion. This sucker was huge and we just had to share it with you.

Hope you all had a Happy Father's Day too!

My Life with a Rock Star

Madison Rocks!

Do you go to school with a rock star? Well, maybe you would like to. I have recently discovered that I have a self-proclaimed rock star living in my house. Who knew? Apparently, Madison has declared herself a rock star fashion expert. Between you and me, I have not yet figured out what the definition of "Rock Star" fashion is but I do know it includes sparkles and pony tails. I thought you might enjoy Madison demonstrating one of her favorite summer rock star ensembles below.

Please - no autographs! : )

Pigs & Bubbles - what?

"Can I play with BUBBLES?"

That's a discussion Madison and I had several times to day and finally the answer was YES!

Uncle Scott and Aunt Jennifer got Madison a PIG bubble blower for graduation and she and Noah were pretty excited to try it out.

I though you might enjoy seeing a couple pictures of the BUBBLE celebration!

That pig works pretty good and can we say HOORAY for no spills and no blowing?

THANKS Scott & Jen!

Splish, Splash, Fun

Enjoying some pool time fun!

Madison received a new swimming pool for graduation and the kids could not wait to try it out. So, thanks to Grandmom and Papaw they got to swim for the first time at our house.

Madison tried out the slide, but Noah was not interested in getting too wet. He stayed pool side for some fishing and occasionally flipped his leg over to stick one foot in the water.

At the end of the day and after all the splashing they really enjoyed playing together.

Happy splashes to you too!

Pomp and Circumstance

You're invited to view Madison's Pre-School graduation celebration with us.
Madison entered Kiddie Prep at age 2 and we have just completed Kindergarten Round-up.
That's right she will turn 5 on July 15 and will head to "Big Girl" school in the fall. We are seizing the day and sharing her achievement with you.
Kiddie Prep rewards each graduate with a diploma and bible.

Madison was able to share this special event with family.

The Wonderful World of Disney

We are just returning from a lovely trip to Walt Disney World with Papaw and Grandmom Avery. This was the first time for Madison and Noah and boy, did they have fun. I thought you would enjoy a few pictures from our adventure. Paul took over 600 pictures during our trip, but lucky for you I am sparing you the time of that sort.

We stayed at the All Star Sports Resort and all of you with little ones - this was well worth it. We could come and go and not have to worry about our transportation. The resorts come in all different shapes, styles, and prices. Ours was definitely family oriented, but there are others to try on according to your comforts.

Highlights from our trip: Madison met her favorites: Piglet and Sleeping Beauty.

She even tried out being Princess for the day.

Also, Noah experienced swimming for the first time. Well, swimming wasn't really his thing but putting his feet in the water was something he truly enjoyed.

Paul enjoyed seeing a couple of tigers playing (with claws) at the Animal Kingdom. Their meows were thunderous!

And, Kristi enjoyed the Animal Kingdom lodge - it made you feel like you were at Jurassic Park with all its grandeur. We enjoyed an authentic African meal and it was really something! You have to be brave and wonder out of your comfort zone, but really it was quite yummy. I would recommend it to others.

A Very Piggy Easter

Easter with the Crisp Family

Noah and Uncle Phil are playing ball with Candy the dog
at Grandma and Grandpa Crisps house.

Madison opend her Easter basket from Gma and Gpa Crisp.
Yummy candy!

Mommy and Daddy got Madison a pig alarm clock that oinks her awake in the morning!

Gpa and Gma Crisp got Madison a Easter Bingo game.
If you come to visit Madison will gladly play with you.

Noah shows off his new Easter outfit.
Looking pretty spiffy!

One of the more famous pigs, Piglet joins Madison for bed time these days.
She is packing her new pajamas for our trip to Florida.

Noah is really studying the goodies in his egg.
He got Tyrone and Pablo action figures from the Backyardigans.

Smiles to everyone!
